Experience of working with third sector organisations
Experience
LCA was appointed to design the then new Butterwick Hospice at Stockton on Tees in 1993. Since then we have worked closely with them and designed the first Children's Hospice to be built in the North East as well as various modifications and adaptations to their other buildings and facilities. We have worked with The Daisy Chain Project and developed their facilities to look after Autistic Children in Norton. Buildings include their Animal Barn and Children's Play Barn with Offices and Training Facilities. We have worked with Age Concern, advising on their facilities in Darlington at various stages and are currently working with First Stop, a gateway organisation looking after the needs of the homeless and those experiencing Life Events which are beyond their control. With First Stop we are assisting in formulating a bid for funding from the Government's Places of Change initiative.
