Experience
I have a strong financial services background, having worked in commercial and international banking for over 30 years .
For 3 years I worked as Chief Executive of the social inclusion charity: Get Hooked on Fishing Charitable Trust, where we founded a social enterprise in County Durham.
This gave me the opportunity to learn first hand and fully understand some of the issues of working in the Third Sector at the same time as being able to introduce a social enterprise business model to help promote the growth of the network across the UK.
I am currently involved with a number of social enterprise organisations in North East Region - including social housing, renewable energy, and access to finance.
